The length is entirely up to you. But I suggest a fade on the sides and back to achieve the more oval illusion. If you leave more than 3” of length on top you will have more versatility in styling. Still, this needs a little more work on your part.
For a true faux hawk appearance, you will need to keep a strong hold foundation product on hand. Think about serum or gel, preferably with heat protectant abilities. A smoothing iron will help you get your locks pointed up high all day. And, a finishing product like a hair spray will keep everything in place from sun up to sundown. All in all, the round face shape is not difficult to work with, you just have to put some extra thought into it. Take the time to find what works for you and your lifestyle. There is an abundance of options to keep you looking and feeling awesome! Give us a shout if you tried out one of these styles and what you thought about it!
