You might be looking to drown yourself in liquor, or to just people-watch. You may need booze to absolve you of your cares or you crave the feeling of a Bloody Mary, lighting its way into your gut. Whatever your reasons are for being in a bar, the one thing that is constant in bars is women. The burning question now is how to approach women in bars. How do you approach women that catch your fancy? Well, you’re about to find out!
Tip 1. Be Confident
Confidence is important to any approach. Optimism and self-belief are intangible characteristics. Yet, are evident in your carriage and attitude to any matter of life. Approaching women is no different. When approaching women in bars, hold your head high and ensure that spring in your step is in place. Proper grooming makes a world of difference. Walk like you have the right to approach her. Audacity is sexy because it makes you look like you have the world at your beck and call. A confident man exudes an aura that is both intimidating and compelling to women. Your larger-than-life appearance, even before you begin to speak may be enough to turn her own.
Tip 2. Smile
Now you don’t want to come off as an unfriendly grump, so you should never forget to smile when approaching women in a bar. It softens your features and makes you more attractive. It does not necessarily have to be full-toothed to be effective. But if you’ll have more luck flashing one, by all means, do! Smiling has a great way of making people relax around you, so use it on this quest. If you move towards a woman wearing an icy stony look, she’d freak out. Rather than giving you a chance to talk to her, she would probably be scanning for the closest exit.
Tip 3. Offer Her a Drink
Women enjoy gifts and gestures. So offer to buy her a drink within the first five seconds of approaching her. If you want to have more luck, ask for her next drink to be on you or you attempt to order another round for her. Even if she rejects the gesture, you already have her attention. This tip never fails to grab women’s attention. Your success depends on what you do with it.
Tip 4. Be Charming
Now that you have her attention, be charming. How do you charm her? You charm her with your sugar-coated words and stimulating repartee. As much as you can, be an interesting sport. Do not be condescending, judgmental, or obnoxious. She just might stick around a little longer. Use amusing ice breakers and fantastic conversation starters. Try to navigate the conversations around interesting topics and common interests. The point of this is to make her relax, smile, and possibly laugh. A woman with her guard down is as good as yours.
Tip 5. Wingman to the Rescue
If you have trouble approaching women, or you’re still not as experienced as you’d have loved to be, get a wingman. A wingman is a male buddy who doesn't mind making themselves the butt of embarrassment or jokes. They want to make you look like a hero so you can score points with women. Wingmen are usually more experienced with women. They know how to talk to them and make them laugh on your behalf. And yes, they do not put themselves in the spotlight. This method also works just fine for shy introverted men. This is effective if you have a good wingman to do most of the work for you.
Tip 6. Get Her Number
When all is said and done, a good ending would need either you getting her number or taking her home. Naturally, a woman would want to see you again, if you’ve made quite the impression on her. She will be open to continuing the conversations. So, even when you’re both out of sight (unless she’s the girl from next door) you connect. This is only possible if you both exchange contact details. If you do this, you have increased your chances of continuing the connection you have ignited. Then, you can swing it whichever way you like (into a casual or a potential relationship).
There is a woman in every girl and there is a girl in every woman. The moment you can excite the girl in any woman, you become the next best thing after sliced bread. The bulk of your efforts should go into approaching women the right way. Once you hit it off properly, you are in control and can steer the outcomes in your favour.
